NFC BUSINESS CARD

Turn an NFC card into your digital business card

Your CardGoGo profile is the live digital business card. Write its stable sharing URL to a compatible writable NFC card or tag using an external NFC-writing method, then let people open the same profile by tapping NFC, scanning its QR code or following a normal link.

Use a compatible NFC card or tag - No app required for recipients - QR sharing also available

What is an NFC business card?

An NFC business card combines a physical card or tag with an online profile. When someone taps the compatible chip with a supported phone, it opens a web destination. With CardGoGo, that destination leads to your published digital business card, where a recipient can view the details and actions you have chosen to share.

The NFC card is physical. Your digital business card is live online.

Physical NFC card or tag

The physical product contains a compatible NFC chip. Using an external NFC-writing workflow, you write the stable CardGoGo sharing URL to that chip. CardGoGo provides the digital profile and destination but does not program the hardware.

Live CardGoGo digital business card

The browser-based profile is the digital business card. It can show your latest published details and supported actions, whether a visitor arrives by NFC, QR code or a normal link.

How to create an NFC business card with CardGoGo

Create and publish your CardGoGo card

Add your professional details, preview the profile and publish it when ready.

Copy the supported CardGoGo sharing link

Use the link intended for physical QR or NFC sharing according to the existing platform workflow.

Write the link to a compatible NFC card or tag

Use a supported phone workflow or a reputable NFC-writing application.

Test before using or locking the tag

Tap the card using more than one compatible phone and confirm that it opens the intended profile.

One stable destination connects the card to your live profile

CardGoGo uses the same supported destination for physical NFC and QR sharing. The destination resolves to the selected published profile, so its public address can change without requiring a new printed QR code or a rewritten NFC tag.

Keep your NFC card connected when your details change

When your phone number, role, company or website changes, update your CardGoGo profile rather than rewriting every contact field onto the NFC chip. Continued use of the physical card depends on keeping the supported CardGoGo destination connected correctly.

Test your NFC card before locking it

Write the intended supported CardGoGo link, tap and test the card before making the NFC tag read-only, test more than one compatible phone where practical, confirm the correct published profile opens and test important card actions. A permanently locked NFC tag generally cannot be rewritten.

What you need for NFC sharing

NFC behaviour can vary by phone model, operating system, NFC chip type, phone settings and physical placement.

Use your own compatible NFC card or tag

CardGoGo is designed to work with compatible writable NFC products. Users may connect their CardGoGo sharing link to a suitable third-party NFC card or tag using an external NFC-writing workflow.

CardGoGo provides the digital profile and NFC setup guidance. Physical NFC cards or tags can be obtained separately from a compatible supplier. Follow the CardGoGo NFC Help guide to select a published card, copy its stable sharing link, write the complete HTTPS URL using an external NFC-writing method and test the result before locking the tag.

What recipients see after they tap or scan

A compatible phone reads the NFC link or QR code and offers to open the destination in a web browser. The recipient does not need the CardGoGo app and does not need a CardGoGo account to view a published profile.

Phone reads the sharing method

NFC reading depends on compatible hardware and settings. QR scanning depends on a working camera workflow and a clear code.

Browser opens the live profile

The same published CardGoGo card loads from the stable destination, whichever physical sharing method was used.

Recipient chooses an action

Available actions depend on what the card owner has published, such as viewing details, saving a contact, calling, emailing or opening a link.
